CROATIA
On August the 2nd, 2021, the European Commission (EC) announced in the Official Gazette of the EU that the Croatian wine Muskat Momjanski (Moscato di Momiano had received the European protected designation of origin, which entered this product in eAmbrosio’s register of geographical indications of EU origin, according to a statement from the Ministry.
The name combines the name of a grape variety (Muscat/Moscato, from the Muscat white variety) and the name of the geographical area (Momjanski/di Momiano) after Momjan, which is located in the northern part of the beautiful Istrian peninsula, famous for its popular wines.
